Cool Company Award – Redbubble, Artshub and 3eep All Do Well

The Australian Anthill Magazine has just released the winners and finalists of its Cool Company Awards for 2008.  These awards cover a number of areas including innoation, global growth, online business and the x-factor award.   The great news is that 3 of the companies i am involved in, redbubble.com, 3eep.com and artshub.com.au all did extremely well with redbubble winning both the best online business and x-factor awards.

So who are these companies and what is my involvement with them?

redbubble.com is a leading site in the arts world that marries social networing with art work sales and fulfilment. Visitors to the site can check out the work of artists from around the world, engage them and the community in discussion and then if they want, purchase the art work on cards, posters, calendars and t-shirts and redbubble.com handles the fulfilment of the order (printing and distribution).

The site is around 2 years old and has gained a strong following around the world.

Redbubble won the best online business and best x-factor company awards from Australian Anthill Magazine.  I am both an investor in and Director of Redbubble.

artshub.com.au is Australia’s leading site for jobs and news in the Arts community.  Established aroud 2000, the site has become a the source for Australian’s involved in the arts world to find jobs, keep up with the latest news, find local events and general classifieds.

The business operates on a subscription model where visitors to the site subscribe on an annual basis to receive weekly newsletters and to access up to date job listings.

Artshub also operates in the UK and is in the process of entering the US.

Artshub received an honorable mention in the X-Factor Award from Australian Anthill Magazine.  I am both the major investor in and the Executive Chairman of Artshub Holdings.

3eep.com is a relatively new entrant to the world of social networking and focuses on the local sporting club market around the world.  3eep have developed a social networking platform that is used by companies in Germany and Canada and they also have their own global play – www.sportspassion.com

The business, established by Rob Antulov and Nick Gonis less than a year ago, is undergoing rapid growth.

3eep received an honorable mention in the Online Award.  I am both an investor in and a Director of 3eep.com.
